Our client is a leading tech product business based in Melbourne. They have one of the best technical teams in Australia and have been awarded numerous times for innovation, technical maturity and culture.

They are currently looking for a Principal Engineer to join the team. You should have experience across full stack development using Node, Typescript and React. We are looking for someone with strong experience in AWS for exciting cloud based/serverless projects.

We are looking for a technical leader with good people leadership skills, the balance between people and technical leading will carry but on average it will be a 50/50 split. To be successful in this role you need to have a quality mindset, used to building a scalable application that has high performance. We are looking for someone that can uplift capabilities through best practices and quality.

In this role you will work with a highly skilled team, in a very technically mature environment on the latest tech.


Required Skills:

- Experienced Senior Developer 5+ years
-Tech lead experience or at the very least experience leading juniors
- Experience developing with Node, Typescript and React
- Strong AWS experience across all AWS services
- Strong exposure across end to end development with a focus on API development
- Excellent understanding of Agile
- Experience working in a full CI and CD environment, which is fast-paced with continuous deployment
- TDD is mandatory
- Golang experience is nice to have but not essential
- Great communication skills - an interest and ability to communicate effectively and share ideas
- An active interest in technologies outside of work by reading, research, personal development projects,
attending meet-ups and conferences.
- Some experience with GraphQL would be a bonus
